This versatile angler is proficient at catching most freshwater sportfish, and has given hundreds of entertaining “how to” seminars in the last 26 years from New York to Iowa. His fishing schools in the Chicago area have been well attended for 26 years and many of the top anglers in the Midwest have attended them. In addition to his regular bass, walleye, pike, panfish classes, he also teaches a 4-week “Muskies only” class.
Although Petros fishes for all sportfish muskies hold a special place in his heart. He started musky fishing 25-years ago and has caught hundreds of the big predators to 40-lbs. He was instrumental in developing various musky techniques that started in the mid 1970’s which include jig-fishing, plus speed-trolling spinnerbaits over the weeds and weighted jerkbaits along the edges. Petros also hosts several musky trips up to Ontario’s Eagle Lake each year and our group has had outstanding success. In 1997 we shattered North Shore Lodges camp record for most muskies boated in a week, with a 39 pounder being the top fish.
