Northern Wisconsin season is only a few days away!

May 29 marks the start of the muskellunge season in the northern fishing zone.

With long-pointed teeth, this member of the Pike family is one of the most sought-after fish species in Wisconsin and in many fishing stories is referred to as “the one that got away.”

If you’d like to reel in a musky, make sure to fit your fishing pole with extra-strength line before you set out as these fish are known to put up a fight!

Find a list of trophy musky waters at https://dnr.wi.gov/topic/fishing/musky/index.html and good luck to all those trying to catch the “fish of 10,000 casts.”
