Guidelines with Ken Trail; Virginia
Water temps have fallen into the 60’s on the majority of our rivers and is providing some outstanding fishing. The James really received some much needed water, but the New is still very low and clear. The fish haven’t seemed to mind much on the New! The bite has been pretty solid the past week to 10 days. It will only continue to get better over the next few weeks, and months even! The James has also been producing some nice fish and decent numbers. The increased flow on the James really helped stabilize the water some and the fish always respond to stability!
The fish are still going on the regular summer time patterns. Top water has been on fire early in the mornings for me and my clients! We’ve noticed some fish starting to show up in those transition areas. The Fall movement is really starting to pick up as the musky begin to move towards wintering locations.
Our schedule is filling up fast for the winter months for all of Rock On’s guides! Give us a call to get in on that winter time, pre-spawn action!
