Guide Lines with Ken Trail: New River, Virginia

MH Fishing Report
9/13/21

And it begins…. Water temps across the majority of the state
have fallen to the low to mid 70’s. This coming week we will
have some hotter days, but with the cooler night time
temperatures and the days a little shorter I think we will get
through it. We need rain bad, the rivers are extremely low and
clear!

This past week we caught fish on the majority of the summer
time patterns. We had fish going on blades, top water,
bulldawgs, and quick moving jerk baits. Speed was the key for
us, the faster the better. The fish were pushed up in shallow
water and feeding during the daylight! Utilize those grass and
weed areas before they are gone!
