Guide Lines with Chase Gibson: West Virginia
Crazy spring weather! Warm one day frost the next. We experienced a lot of rain last week and had caused the lake to rise, the fishing slowed down due to the Army corps pulling water trying to compensate for the water coming into the lake. Finally on Friday they slowed the pull and the fish started to eating again! Fish are coming on different tactics and areas almost daily. With so many variables switching things up it’s hard to find a consistent pattern this spring.
Here is a couple of fish boated recently. My clients first musky ever caught jigging an Ell tail sold by Widow Maker tackle and another from Saturday on a Musky Innovations Dyin’ dawg! These are always hot baits in my boat.
I have very few dates left in May. After they are gone I’m booked up for the spring. My books are wide open for fall and winter!
