Guide Lines with Brian Schaeffer: Northern Wisconsin

Fishing this past week has been decent depending on the body of water you are fishing. Flowages are still on the slow side because of low water flow. There’s been some good bites to watch that have been consistent, early evening 5 Oclockish and of course your moon phases. Fish are still holding to weed edges and tight in the weeds, which return has brought a slow to nonexistent suspended bite. Bucktails are still producing most of the action, muskymayhem Detonators have been on fire. Followed by rubber (Red October tubes, Dussas, Dawgs) worked closely to the weed edges. Topwater has been very good also. Water temps are all over the board from 73’ to 77’ but unfortunately, very warm weather ahead could bring a lot of these smaller shallow lakes to the dreaded warm temps.
