Guide Lines with Andy Schiera: Fox Chain of Lakes

This past week has been one with a very strange twist for mid June.  Five of the past seven days have been in excess of 80゚ here in northern Illinois! Last week’s heat wave ended and left Monday and Tuesday post-frontal with Northerly winds and a pleasant chill to the mid-seventy degree range.  With the barometer extremely high these days we spent our time outside the break-lines casting large rubber and working it aggressively over pods of Gizzard Shad.

We did finally get some good rain Thursday night into Friday early morning. More than 1.5″ in areas surrounding our lakes.  The Fox Chain of lakes has risen 4 to 5″ in pool height almost overnight.
More Sunny days to finish up this week had our temperatures 🌡<80* for the weekend upcoming.  6/19-6/21
Tight lines 🤙
