chain of lakes

Guide Lines by Jeremy Burris: The Fox Chain of Lakes, IL

Water levels on the Fox Chain remain steady and cool nights have kept the water temps consistent which has kept many muskies in key spawning locations. Warmer temperatures in the coming week should significantly help push fish into post spawn and make for some fantastic fishing.

The Fox River below the chain has been a real grind. Muskies have basically vanished from shoreline Eddie’s with the receding water levels. I believe making their post spawn recoveries on the river channel edges. The warm temps should help with a quick recovery and start putting fish back on the feed bag soon!

Good Luck,
Jeremy Burris
