A “Fish of a Lifetime” is a term commonly used in sport fishing. Well, this TROPHY 54 inch Musky was literally a “Fish of a Lifetime”.

The story goes… My Brother Jon and I set out on our regular after-work Musky Hunt when we both got a text informing us that our Grandpa’s health was declining very quickly. We headed over to his house not knowing what was to come of this. We visited with Grandpa for a few hours. Many hugs and tears were exchanged as we said our final “good-byes” to Grandpa Osgar. Many more of our cousins and family members began to show up to pay their respects to Grandpa. As we shuffled out the door, not really feeling like we should go fishing, our Dad came up to us and with tears in his eyes said, “Go catch our family’s first 50 incher and dedicate it to Grandpa’s Life!”

As Musky Fisherman, we knew how hard of an accomplishment that would be to catch a 50 inch musky on command…But I think some powerful invisible forces were on our side this day… Let’s just say with the help of our Grandpa, we were able to land an enormous 54 inch trophy musky! We will never forget this Trophy Musky. And we will NEVER EVER forget our Trophy Grandpa! Rest in Peace. ENJOY!
