
Deerfoot Resort host Ladies Musky Fishing School on the Chippewa Flowage this weekend!
Deerfoot Lodge & Resort on the Chippewa Flowage in Hayward, WI is gearing up to host its 4th Annual Ladies Musky Fishing School this weekend, October 15-17, 2021. Anglers of all experience levels will participate in classroom-style presentations on a variety of musky angling topics, fishing time on the water, fish handling & release practice with hands-on northern pike demos and fantastic opportunities to connect with fellow female musky anglers! Presentation topics include Musky Fishing 101, What Gear Do I Need?, Kayak Fishing, Strike Triggering Tactics, Safe Fish Handling & Release, Baitcasting Basics, Knot Tying, Leader Making, River Fishing, Sucker Rigging, How to Choose a Musky Fishing Spot, Chippewa Flowage Fishery Updates, Guide Tips & Tricks and more! New anglers are partnered up with more experienced anglers during the event to ensure everyone has a chance at being part of the musky catching action. Anglers who have yet to purchase musky fishing equipment may check items out of Deerfoot’s Gear Lending Library for use during the weekend. Every participant receives a goodie bag full of valuable musky fishing gear provided by the event’s generous sponsors and also has the chance to win great door prizes and a $250 Cabela’s Gift Card! Our 2021 event is full, but save the date for this great event again in 2022!
