Chicagoland Muskie Hunters are having their yearly fundraiser.
The Chicagoland Muskie Hunters started as the Muskie Hunters in 1968; we became the 3rd Chapter of Muskies Inc. in 1975. The Chapter’s main focus then as well is now are Youth, Fisheries and Research. They are putting on their annual fundraiser for 2021 below is the flyer.
Here are some of the programs they support.
President Greg Denny, and Jim Cejna present Coach Tim Jacoby with a $500 donation to the Rolling Meadows High School bass fishing team. He was joined during the presentation ceremony by about a dozen members of his team. Tim tells us that they had 34 students join up this year, which is terrific considering that this is only the second year of the team’s existence. Seventeen of the team members took advantage of the free Muskies, Inc. Youth Memberships that our Club offered to the them as part of our new Youth Program.

|Lake Geneva Leech Lake Stocking Initiative|
|Frank Loye and Kevin Butts release Leech Lake strain muskies into Lake Geneva. This was the first of five stockings in memory of club member Dean Rosset. It is also the start of a partnership between the Chicagoland Muskie Hunters and the Wisconsin DNR. In addition to stocking the Leech Lake muskies, we are donating funds to the DNR each year to help fund PIT tagging efforts. The PIT tagging will take place each year during its annual netting/surveying work and in 2022 the DNR will be conducting a genetic study to determine the relative survival and growth rates of the Leech Lake strain muskies we’ve planted compared to the various Wisconsin strain fish the state is putting into the system.|
